now

we are on school holidays.
i want to fill the coming days with good things and exploring and enjoyment and sharing time together.
i want the days to be happy and content and good.
we are going to go to the beach with some friends. i know that will be so much fun. i know we'll run and jump and stand and watch and enjoy. we might sit by the water and eat hot chips and watch the clouds move and the birds fly and the children giggle. i know there will be a whole lot of giggling with those kids.

wouldn't it be nice to paint some sticks. or put some wool around some. i would like to do that next week. i'm sure the kids would love to do that too.
and maybe some fabric bundles will be rolled into jars of coloured water. i am loving this book, and wishing for more time to curl up and read it. (in fact, i have a "couple" of new books that i wish i had more time with; reviews might happen over the next few weeks, as they are all so delicious).
there's lots of projects brewing in my head. but for now i'm trying to stay right now and breathe and enjoy where i am.

yellow is good and happy right now. the sky has been sunshiney, with some rain. but cold and the sun seems fleeting - setting too quickly in the afternoon. i do like Winter, but i prefer Spring or Autumn more. we passed the middle and are swinging back towards to warm and long days.

Good things that I am liking::
:: i bought and received a scarf full of sunshine. you can find one for yourself in Cozy Memories. (i will photograph my scarf in the next couple of days and share with you, it is pure joy to see it sparkle).
:: i really am loving all the stories shared on longest acres. what a wonderful warm and honest blog. go visit.
:: Fig and Fauna - oh what a place of sunshine and delicious tastings....
:: while in Brisbane i did not go for cocktails, but i did buy a new dress. and i am loving wearing it. so easy to put on, and it feels so good, and i've been told it looks good.
:: i have been making pompoms for pledges. go visit Hey Maker. it's good things. {hey - we need your help, too!!!}

 *yellow images all found here. pompoms are from my instagram feed.

right now

the kids will be home from school momentarily.
my computer will run out of power momentarily.

right now the sun is shining hard. its pushed the clouds away and forced itself past the rain we've had. the cicadas are calling. they're booming. getting as much said as they can while the sun is warming them.

this pile of crochet circles is steadily growing. bit by bit I tie another one off my hook. I'm finishing all the strings as I go - I think it would be too much to do it all at the end. But then, that may happen too.

I'm making more crochet covered stones and rocks. mostly collected our creek. perhaps we'll visit the beach soon and collect some from there as well. there seems to be lots of stones along the beaches these days. I keep giving away all the crochet rocks. we barely have any left. and I keep planning on making more for giving away as well. I do love making them, and having them around the house - I'd so love a whole bowlful - that lovely wooden bowl we have. but I also love giving them away.

right now. that's how things are happening.
I'm loving ::
Kate's this week list - I wish mine was that delicious sounding.
Jacqui's wrong side.
Kristen's sweet coasters she made for a friend.
Leah's night romantic inky image.
Abby's sweet place and the light in her life.

*in total disclosure. That moment is over. I'm in another moment right now - at my dad's, with my computer charging, and the mosquitos eating me alive. I keep forgetting, ever forgetting that my moments slip away......... endlessly gone into some other place of non-memory/vague forget/sometimes retain. those moments.

right now {small journey}

right now ::

it's Saturday. 1st October. Can you believe that it's already October! That happened simply too too quickly.

raining. hailing. sunshine. rainbows. all at once. outside in the sky. inside with the children.

[Mish + I are visiting with Leah, S, E + T].

I had these images on my desktop. The middle one is mine, a project I am s.l.o.w.l.y working on. Perhaps it won't be happen until next year, when I can dedicate enough computer time to it. The middle + top images came from here.

I've made up a reason why these images work together..... Do they? Of course, if I say so!
+ I am doing many projects, in my head. They all seem to be hurrying to a need-to-be-ready now date. I'll start the actual making quite very soon. When it gets to the last minute panic moment, I guess.
+ My life is made up with lots of small journeys at the moment. I'm really learning to enjoy the small journeys, and know that step-by-step and moment-by-moment they'll take me somewhere. somewhere. somewhere. slowly.
+ I do sort of feel like that little ant trapped inside a bubble. It's quiet in my bubble. No blogland. No outside noise. The sound of my own breathing. Of course, I also have the sound of the breathing/living/being of my family. But they are part of my breathing. Like an ant I cannot live without them. We are one. I am alive inside this bubble. And thriving. But one day I do hope that I can pop through to experience that wonderful purple flower/leaf/world outside the bubble.

So; right now I am waiting for inspiration, in my own little bubble, walking a slow journey. Right now.

Enjoy your weekend my friends. xx
