Stitching & sewing tools
I always recommend and suggest that you support your local craft shop for these tools, but I know sometimes this isn’t possible.
I’ve saved some of my favourite and most used notions and sewing supplies that I love using from online shops on Etsy.
These are the sewing needles that I usually use, but if you have anything in your sewing cupboard then start with those and see what you like using.
Remember that it’s important to change your needle if it starts to feel harder to sew with, as they can become blunt over time.

My favourite threads are what I already have, what I find at op-shops / thrift stores, and what people pass onto me. I mostly use Sashiko thread and a regular sewing machine thread. But love to experiment with other threads as I come across them.
Don’t discount things like linen, fine crochet cotton, thin weaving threads. As long as it can thread through your needle and easily pull through your fabric then it can be used.
