dye pot journal - cochineal & madder with iron

I have this in my dye pot at the moment. It’s extra fabric for the backing of this quilt that I’m working on. I ran out of fabric, so doing what I do with my Fear-Less improv quilting style - I’m just making some more.

When I start a quilt I don’t worry if I don’t have all the fabric planned out. I like that I can evolve it as I go.

In my Natural dye & raffia basket weaving online course you can find extensive dye notes that will help you develop and grow your dyeing skills. You can also read about rust dyeing here, and see my other natural dye notes here.
