Making zen online stitching retreat

Please note that the Making Zen retreat has closed for now, but it re-opens twice a year. I’ll be sharing a new project then.

If you’d like to learn how to make my circular pouch you can check out the online course here.

Here’s some news about a wonderful thing!

Over the years I’ve been involved in some very fabulous ‘bundles’, where a group of people (creatives / artists / makers) gather together to offer you some of their online courses and learning. It’s always so fun and a really excellent way for you to meet, connect and find new people as well as learn lots of different techniques and have access to new projects.

And now here’s a truly special online gathering that I’m part of. It’s called Making Zen Retreat, and has a beautiful group of people who you will just love to learn from.

This is just a little list of the online courses and sessions you can access - I wanted to let you know the artists and the details in advance before the event begins.

Here’s how to Making Zen Retreat works:

From 2nd - 6th May the online how-to sessions will be live for you to learn. These sessions are entirely FREE to watch and join into. There’ll also be a live chat with the artist / creative during the session time. You can sign up here to access all the sessions live and then you’ll be notified when it’s time to watch them and join in.

These live sessions are only available during the allotted times and there will be no reply for the free access. If you’d like to be able to watch the courses and content at any time you like, whenever you like then I suggest you sign up for the all access pass. This gives you ongoing access to watch all 22 of the projects and creative courses, as well as some extra bonuses. I’ve listed some of the artists and courses below, but you can see them all here.*

Here’s just a small selection of the courses you’ll have access to during the Making Zen Retreat.

Regardless of if you sign up for free (where the courses are live and no replay is available) or you purchase the on-demand access to all the courses you’ll receive the same 22 creative courses:

  • Ellie Beck (that’s me!) - slow stitched bags for holding treasures

  • Heidi Parkes - Intuitive quilting

  • Mirjam Gienen - Cell structures with blanket stitch

  • Lisa Mattock - Fabric woodland mushrooms

  • Liz Kettle - Studio prayer flags

  • Katrine Stalstrøm - Visible mending

  • Emma Freeman - Exploring stitching as poetry

  • you can find the rest of the courses and artists here*.

If you purchase the full online retreat, rather than the free access, you’ll also receive these bonuses:

  • My natural & botanical dye online course (if you already own this I’m happy to swap for another course)

  • Heidi Parkes - improv hand quilting

  • Melissa Marginet - zen mini quilt pattern

  • Lisa Mattock - wreath of flowers

  • Jo Avery - bird applique pattern

  • Lisa Goddard - Peep through journal course

  • Liz Kettle - silk paper or is it fabric?

  • Amanda Nadig - how to hang a small quilt

*Please note that I receive a small commission if you purchase through my link. This costs you no extra, but helps with my income for creating these wonderful courses for you. With much thanks for your ongoing support of my business.
