making a 2-pocket fold over purse

I made the first version of these little purses quite a while ago and love using it. So versatile, so simple, yet so lovely. A great addition to my eclectic & bohemian wardrobe. My daughter tells me this is my style. Hers is romantic goth. I plan on making a whole lot more of these over the next few months as they’re useful for a going out purse, for carrying my notebook & pens, for holding my stitching, or even for my cloth menstrual pads, or cloth face masks. Also, for holding lip balm, headache tablets, lipstick….

And so so so many fabric options. And stitching details. And adding buttons or ribbon to wrap around it.

This is a lovely little project to you. You can hand or machine sew it using your special fabric scraps or showing off a whole strip of beautiful fabric. It works with non-directional as well as directional prints.

You could have one of these sewn up for your next outing. The farmer’s market or a night on the town (I don’t have many of them, so let’s go for the weekly meander for our veggie shopping).
